Ship Paint Construction Process
Ship paint construction process mainly includes the following steps: Preparation stage: First, clean and treat the surface of the hull to remove oil and dirt, and polish and remove rust to ensure that the surface is smooth and clean. At the same time, the hull is inspected and any potential defects and damage are repaired. 1 Primer construction: Primer is used to increase the adhesion of the coating and protect the surface of the hull. Primer is usually used. The composition and performance of the primer should be determined according to the hull material and the use environment. The thickness and uniformity of the coating should be paid attention to during the construction of the primer to prevent leakage and wave coating problems. Intermediate coating construction: intermediate coating is used to increase the thickness of the coating and protect the surface of the hull, and intermediate paint is usually used. In the construction of the coating, attention should be paid to the uniformity and smoothness of the coating to avoid spots and irregularities. Topcoat construction: topcoat is used to increase the gloss and beauty of the coating, usually using topcoat. The color and texture of the finish shall be determined according to the design requirements of the ship. Surface coating construction should pay attention to flatness and smoothness, to prevent brush marks and peeling problems. Application of key technologies: In the process of ship paint spraying, there are several key technologies that need to be mastered, such as spraying technology and drying technology. Spray technology involves how to evenly spray the paint onto the surface of the hull, while drying technology involves the process of rapid drying and curing of the paint. Other precautions: The temperature and humidity of the construction environment will affect the performance of the paint, so it must be controlled within an appropriate range. In addition, weather conditions should also be considered to avoid construction in bad weather. 2 Safety measures: throughout the construction process, strict safety measures must be taken, including but not limited to wearing appropriate personal protective equipment, and proper management of flammable materials. To sum up, marine painting construction is a complex process, covering multiple steps and technical details, aiming to provide a strong, beautiful and durable marine painting.

Ship maintenance is usually divided into several categories
The annual repair is also called minor repair, once every 1-2 years. The annual repair interval for passenger ships and refrigerated ships should be shorter, while that for ordinary cargo ships and barges can be longer. The annual repair of the ship shall be carried out in the dock of the shipyard (see dry dock, floating dock) or on the platoon. The annual repair is mainly for maintenance, such as removing attached marine life and repainting the hull, checking the propeller and rudder, measuring the clearance of the tail shaft, grinding the submarine valve, checking the main engine for lifting the cylinder, etc. Annual repair is generally carried out in combination with annual inspection (see ship inspection). Surveyors conduct general appearance inspection on more than 20 items such as hull, safety, life-saving, fire fighting, lifting and other equipment, as well as power plant, electrical and communication navigation equipment. If defects are found, repair will be carried out so that the ship can maintain the technical conditions for safe navigation before the next annual repair. Overhaul once every 4~6 years, that is, once after 2~3 years of repair, the repair scope is larger than the year of repair, with preventive nature, also in the shipyard or ship row. Maintenance is generally combined with special inspection, by the surveyor of the hull and the ship's main equipment, a total of more than 40 items of inspection, measurement, testing. According to the inspection results, those items that may affect safe navigation by the next overhaul shall be repaired to ensure the service life of the ship. Voyage repair is referred to as voyage repair. Before the year-old repair or overhaul, the ship repair yard will send personnel to the ship docked at the dock, anchorage or sailing to assist the crew to eliminate temporary faults and make the ship continue to operate. Accident repair is a repair to eliminate the damage caused by the accident after the occurrence of a collision, grounding, fire and other accidents or machine damage. The extent of damage to the ship caused by the accident and the scope of repair shall be inspected and appraised by the ship inspection agency. Conversion repair is the modification and repair works carried out to improve the performance of the ship or change the purpose of the ship. Such as the extension of the hull, the ordinary ship to a special ship, the power equipment from the steam engine to diesel engine and so on. Changes involving the basic structure and main parameters of the ship shall be designed in advance and approved by the ship inspection agency.
